But before I could leap into my fluffy getaway, there was still a full day of IT mischief to handle from my home den. The morning started with the installation of our monitoring tool for a new client — and honestly, it went surprisingly smooth. No grumpy firewalls, no misbehaving agents, just clean dashboards and happy pings. The snep even did a little tail flick of victory!
The afternoon was all about checking in on existing clients’ monitoring setups — making sure no server was secretly plotting to break while I’m away. Then came a few sync calls with my colleagues to hand over the reins. We crossed notes, shared some laughs, and agreed: nothing’s allowed to explode while I’m gone! 🐾
There’s something deeply satisfying about wrapping things up neatly before time off — like aligning all your cables perfectly before closing the rack door. The hum of the servers fades, the laptop lid closes, and for once, the snep brain stops chasing alerts.
